About the equipment

The RGT-MT18 is a three-phase power factor correction controller, compatible with SVC (TCR), with touch screen, with 18 steps.

• It is used for reactive power compensation (inductive and capacitive).

• If inductive reactive power comes from the electrical grid, the controller switches on capacitors.

• If capacitive reactive power comes from the grid, the controller switches on a bypass inductor.

• The goal is to reduce the ratio between inductive and capacitive energy, and between active and reactive energy in the system.

• Allows effective step compensation in unbalanced systems.

What is SVC (TCR)?

SVC - Static VAR Compensation is a static reactive power compensation system that uses thyristor-controlled reactors to smoothly and quickly compensate capacitive power in the system.
