Product description

The SSR-09 relay from Tense is a modern unit designed for automatic water level control in boilers, storage tanks, and water heaters.
Ensures reliable water supply, timely pump shutdown, and above all, effective protection of the electric heating element against dry run.

The device uses capacitive electrodes to monitor the water level and automatically controls the pump and heater according to the current situation in the tank.

Operating principle

The SSR-09 operates with two electrodes located in the tank:

1. Lower electrode (minimum level)

   • If the water level falls below this electrode, the relay activates the pump and starts pumping water.

2. The upper electrode (maximum level)

   • When the upper level is reached, the relay automatically switches off the pump.

3. Protective electrode on the heating element

   • If there is no water in the heater, the relay cuts power to the heater and prevents overheating.

This intelligent logic ensures safe and economical operation of the entire system.

Installation and connection

• Mounting on a standard DIN rail in the cabinet.

• For stable operation, the manufacturer recommends using conductors with a minimum of 2.5 mm².
