FKV-11 phase control relay | TENSE

The phase control relay FKV-11 is designed to protect three-phase equipment against major power network faults - especially phase lock (phase reversal), phase failure, and phase asymmetry. The relay ensures reliable operation of electric motors, pumps, compressors, and other three-phase equipment.

The model features a fixed asymmetry of 30% and is designed to be installed on a single DIN rail.

How the FKV-11 relay works (operation algorithm)

Normal operation

• All three-phase voltages are present.

• Phases are connected in the correct order.

• The voltage is within the allowed range.

• Contacts 2-3 are switched, LED OUT → active output.

Asymmetry or voltage deviation

• If the voltage of one phase varies more than 30%, or if the sum of the variations of the multidirectional values exceeds this limit:

  • the LED ASM (asymmetry indication) lights up,

  • the contacts 2-3 open,

  • the contacts 1-2 contacts close,

  • The LED OUT turns off.

Return to normal

• If the voltage returns to the allowed range,

• the relay will reactivate the output and contacts 2-3 will be closed again.
